The Wonders of Riso

Riso printing is something which has been around for decades but I only recently learned of it and am addicted. I read about it in a “Juxtapoz” article in Sept, took a virtual workshop on the basics in Oct, and now I’m convinced all my drawings need to be riso prints lol.

Luckily, Outlet PDX has been offering Riso printing workshops online where ANYONE IN THE WORLD can take it and actually send in artwork at the end and get a print!  

They even have a Riso calendar where artists submit designs and 12 are chosen. This years’ theme is Justice/Reimagined futures and to my elated surprise, my design was chosen! 

You can preorder the calendar HERE. My illustration submission was created entirely in procreate. As of now, I sell my riso prints in person at markets or artwalks.
