This was a really fun start, a doodle music jam. Surprised I've never done it before, it's the best! 32" x 44" on thick paper. I used art sticks for the most part which enabled me to get it done in 4 days, yeowza. Albeit with a blister on my thumb. Then I went over the entire thing with regular pencils which took a good 4 hours.
Because this was a collaboration with the very talented Jose Simonet you should check out some of his tunes through the band, Sunflower Sutra. Good stuff!
This was from a small sketch I did a month or so ago that I found hilarious. i would look at it and laugh. With a stroke of luck, my housemate gave me some extra large thick paper from his work that was going to be junked. So of course, I had to do a giant version of the sketch.
It's really influenced by where I'm at, this drawing would never have happened if I didn't live here. That's neat to think about and appreciate even more this wonderful space I call home. This colored pencil drawing was actually all done with art sticks, basically just blocks of color instead of in pencil form. I never use them since they're so clunky. So the edges are a bit rough, no detail, no blending but it works as it is and I probably love it too much.
Hello! I'm Cascadian colored pencil artist extraodinaire.
