The live painting at the High Dive was super fun and I met a lot of great people. Here's a couple really bad pics of the piece and while I was working on it. I ended up using blacklight paints since I was painting in a blacklit corner, so that was pretty awesome! I actually ended up selling the piece to the awesome rapper Dylan Greenwood. Check him out! And I sold that print. I'm pretty amazed I legit made money.
I finally finished that drawing I've been working on forever. It's a bit intense, like it should be on a white wall very far away. I do like the art deco thing going on on the sides. It's not a great photo of it, but really wanted to post that I completed it. I'll do some finishing touches and document it tomorrow, there's still a few hours left to actually finish. Blah.
I've also been preparing for the show on Sunday, since I'll be selling some things. I actually got a decent print! Check out this color accuracy! WoooOOooOOooo
I'm actually really excited about that. Okie doke, later!
I said a while ago I'm in a painting class and would post some pics from it. So here ya go! I'm maybe halfway on this piece and am really proud of it. If you've ever gone through my acrylic section you can see my painting skills are minimal. This class I'm taking is in oils (which I've never used before) and focuses on the basics. Perspective, proportions, etc, which are essential to recreate anything from the mind as well as life. So yeah, this ear cast is what I'm working on! :D
